can the plugs get invicible after some time?

Hi there, I' have a somewhat strange question! I'm a german, and have been having dry eyes for ages! Since 5-6 months I've been having the plugs! a small tip of the plugs were always visible, but since a couple of days after "perhaps" scratching my eye i noticed that the top of the plugs are not visible anymore! Can it be that they got inside? Because my eyes aern't much drier now either?! I'm confused, I investigated my eyes but couldn't see much either!

Hope someone can help me?!

Most likely the plugs were pulled out with the "scratching". It is far less likely that you could have pushed them in.
