palmitoylethanolamide
anyone here heard of this already?
maybe someone here with a scientific background who wants to explain a bit to a total noob in this field?
as far as i can understand from what i've read about it this is currently being used as a painkiller and anti inflammatory vehicle to treat various neuropathy related issues.
thanks in advance!

Haven't heard of it, but would be really interested if you find out more about it. I'll ask my dad- he is an ER doctor.

hi ashley,
enjoying the rain to? hopefully it will get better soon now.
could you ask your dad? maybe he can shed a light on this.
i tried finding any info on the internet, but i can only find a bit on wikipedia.
it sure sounds that i could be helpful with eye pain issues, but an expert opinion would be nice of course.

palmitoylethanolamide
Hi,
you can go here to find out all you want to know about palmitoylethanolamide
http://www.neuropathie.nu/english-articles/index.php
You can order it from Ergomax.
I'd suggest also going to Dr. Nancy Sajben's website:
http://painsandiego.com/
She explores use of
Dextromethorphan
memantine
low dose naltrexone
ketamine (intranasal)
there's also the pain research forum:

Best,

I buy it and use it. Cuts through the pain at times. Interesting... also works on cannabanoid receptors (w/o THC effects), and mast cells too. Wish it was easier to import it though and much cheaper. It's sad we live in a country where pharmaceuticals are making stronger and stronger opiate-based pain meds... when all the research notes that though opiates help pain, they also activate inflammatory mediators - perpetuating the pain-feedback loop.
