Does Acupuncture help with dry eye?

I had a friend suggest acupuncture and did a quick internet search and found this: http://altmedicine.about.com/b/2011/...eye-relief.htm

i'd love to hear if any of you have positive experiences with this.

    Thanks,
    Tiff. a

Here's my experience minus the last 1-2 treatment(s) http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/showt...ht=acupuncture . My last treatment didn't result in much of anything except relaxation / better mood. My treatments were much more spread out than the study mentioned in the site you list. I plan to start up with another practitioner, one closer to my home, and hopefully the practitioner will suggest more frequent treatments so I can see if that makes a difference.

    PotatoCakes:

    My experience was similar.

If my eye discomfort is severe and unremitting, I get extremely tired yet sleep doesn't make much difference. Acupuncture relaxes me a bit so I am able to cope better.

I always go to the same practitioners; I once went to someone less qualified & experienced and it had no effect at all.
