I have MGD (caused by ocular rosacea) and evaporative dry eye. I have been taking doxycycline for about six months now. In the beginning it helped enormously - my eyelids were much less inflamed and my tear film really improved also. It was like a miracle drug for me.

However really disappointingly in the last few months it appears to have stopped working. Can the anti-inflammatory action of doxcycyline wear off?

Would be most grateful for your thoughts.
