MGD for approximately 9 months now
Hi, Dr. Latkany,
Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer this post. I really appreciate your help.
I moved to Baltimore from the midwest approximately 9 months ago. I moved into my apartment which is just above a barbershop. I shared an air conditioning / heating unit with the barbershop and I can smell the fumes throughout the apartment.
The air conditioning vent was pointed directly at me and blew on my face all night continuously for the first 2 or 3 weeks I lived in the apartment. One morning I woke up and my eyelids were stuck together. It was difficult to open them. Later that day, my eyes teared excessively and they felt "okay". However, the next morning, the same thing happened and has happened every morning for 9 months. I still live in the barbershop, but the air conditioner no longer points in my direction.
I've tried everything and nothing has worked... Any ideas?

Has your doctor suggested an eye mask, plugs, ointment, and a humidifier. If not they may help. You need to protect the eyes as you probably have lagophthalmos even if your eye doc cannot see it.
