pain during schermer test?

Do schirmer tests hurt really badly for you? Like you can't wait to get them off? I think my first test I messed up because I scrunched my eyes so much, that I think it caused me to tear up. It was a burning sensation.

Last one I had (and I mean THE last - I'll never let anybody Schirmer me again in that way), I wanted to rip the bleeping things out by the first 10 seconds. Burned so bad. And the result was useless, except for determining that I can make reflex tears if I feel like a handful of needles is sticking into my cornea, which I already knew.
