Astaxanthin?
Was wondering if you could provide us with a little more info on Astaxanthin? From a quick search of the net it looks like it may have many benefits for the eye, including reducing eye fatigue and dry eye. Would you recommend buying this supplement on its own and how much should one be taking?

Dr. Michael Lange on astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is a super carotenoid that will help tired eyes! I t actually increases blood flow to the brain and the eye and can cross the blood brain and blood retina barrier. It is a great anti inflammatory and a super antioxidant . It will also help prevent sunburn an added plus. Many studies have proven that astaxanthin will actually improve cilliary muscle functioning and improve the ability of the eye to focus thus decreasing eye starin and fatigue. This is one of the nutrients we will have in our new Fortifeye Dry Eye Extrme product. Most studies indicate that you should take 4-6mg a day. Wild alaskan salmon has about 1mg in a fillet.
