I recently had an appointment with an opthmalogist regarding the excess watering of my eyes. The excess watering mainly happens in the morning and gets somewhat better as the day goes on. By night time my eyes are sore and irritated. He checked to make sure there was no obstruction in the drain - and there was not. He feels that the pump that pumps the tears is not working properly and suggests surgery to stretch my lower lid to provide a better chance for my tears to get to the drain. I know some of my tears make it to the drain because when I put in drops or tear excessively my nose starts to run. Just curious what your thoughts are. The appointment went so quick and was kind of overwhelming.
