  • VisuXL - Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin E, Sodium Hyaluronate

This eye drop formulation, VisuXL, was released just recently I think in Europe by the same people who make Xailin, Meibopatch etc. It was previously known as CoQun in early research studies / clinical trials.

    It contains:

    - Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin E, antioxidants which may help reduce oxidative stress that breaks down healthy eye tissue.

    - Cross-linked Sodium Hyaluronate, which adds moisture, lubricates etc.

    - Preservative free as they're using Ursapharm's sterile bottle design (similar to Hylo-Forte etc.).

Interestingly a study showed it can permeate deep down to behind the lens of the eye, so they're studying whether it can help glaucoma, retinopathy etc.

Available on Amazon UK (may be able to import to US), Butterflies Eyecare and European eye care shops.

Nope not a lipid/oil replacement one. Antioxidant based, so I guess along the lines of Hokucat's green tea idea. Sodium Hyaluronate is of course good too (as in Hylo Care, Hylo Forte, Hylo Gel etc.).

Thanks! I used Hylo Care & Gel for some years (as instructed by doctors) - did not fit, later eye even felt pain when used Care.
More than 50% of my (lower) glands are gone so Evotears fits me better. will consult dr if this new drop fits me.

The Biophotonic Scann - to measure antioxidant status. I just watched a viedo about such interesting scann, only put hand on the machine and in 30 seconds or so, know the result. Not sure if it is available in Europe.

I do find Hylo Care seems to sting a bit. I guess it's the dexpanthenol in it, "the alcohol analog of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5)." My eyes hate anything even remotely alcohol based it seems.
Hylo-Forte is fine for me though, it's just pure Sodium Hyaluronate.
