So i'm back yet again. This time not quite everything is as rosy. I have another yearly check up mid July but I had a recent visit thanks to a sty. My first sty; it was painful, red and I am going out of the country so I figured I should have it looked at.

Well it was a different Dr. but same office. It was a chalazion/sty. She told me to always do lid cleansing and warm compresses. My dry eye has been creeping back which is strange since recently I stopped one medication that causes dry eye but also started a different brand on another.

Nothing too bothersome...but turns out I have more than one small chalazion and her notes read blepharitis. I wasn't aware that I had blepharitis. At least I don't think I was? It made me look back on previous Dr. notes and sure enough, it read blepharitis. I have been so focused on "dry eye" that I didn't even realize there was more to it than that. So this may not be the end of my journey.

I am also going to confess that I sort of took for granted my good status and in the past year have been slacking on taking care of my eyes. Wearing my contacts too long, not using my Systane ultra eye drops daily; maybe only once a week, and recently using OTC eye drops like Visine for contacts and Theratears instead. So part of this may be my fault. Goes to show that this can't quite be cured but can be put into a remission. I am going back to my over cautious ways!
