I have the worst case of recurrent corneal erosion ever. I was first diagnosed in the late 80's. I have tried everything from corneal specialist to eye duct plugs, therapeutic bandages and every drop both prescription and over the counter. I am basically at my wits end. My quality of life suffers on a daily basis. I have been diagnosed with loose weak cornea's, they rip very easy, something as simple as a gust of wind or a fan blown in my direction can set me off and put me in agony for weeks! I need help so bad! I am currently using restasis, muro128, optic, Lotemax and bromfenac for pain. If anyone has anything helpful to pass on I would love to hear from you. I am new to this sight. Thank you! Frances

Please find a pair of moisture chamber glasses and wear them 24/7. They work.

See Rebecca's guide to moisture chambers: guide

    Wishing you all the best.

    Hi Frances,
Yes, get ahold of some kind of glasses to sheild your eyes asap..this will really help you with the pain pretty quickly and that in turn will help you think of something other than the pain!! It gets to be a vicious cycle. Go to a kitchen supply store or someplace that sells "Onion Goggles" and wear those all your waking hours if you can. You should notice a difference. Have you tried night time moisture chamber glasses??

Thank you so much! I recently talked to a biology teacher who told me to try Arctic Pure Fish Oil gel tabs. He said they work wonders for dry eye! I just ordered them, worth a try!
