I'd give my right eye...
June Update

Keeping track of time here... 3 1/2 years since LASIK. 1 1/2 years since onset of blepharitis. 7 months since symptoms became acute and I entered "crisis stage".
Well over $2,000 spent on doc visits, acupuncture, books, drops, prescriptions.
And the result. I can live. But I am not yet free.
What has helped my blepharitis/meibomian gland dysfunction:
-Alrex
-Restasis
-Gland expression (It's painful on the inflamed glands but it sure pushes soothing oil into my eye. I wish the relief would last.)
-Cold refrigerated preservative-free eye drops
-Protecting my eyes at night with goggles and cold Celluvisc drops
-Exercise and good diet
-Hope for a cure or at least a better tomorrow
Things that might have helped but I'm not sure:
-Red Wine Extract/Resveratrol supplement
-Fish Oil 2-3 TBSP per day
-Doxycycline (100mg oral per day)
-Acupuncture
Things that probably did not help:
-Hot Compresses (Take forever, no real improvement, rather take a hot shower)
-Going to doctors beyond getting them to write a prescription for something I already knew I needed (Lost faith in the medical community)
-Q-tip method of lid massage (Really have to get in there and pinch the lids with fingers)
-NAC
Next on the agenda:
-Go to the two foremost experts on dry eye syndrome in probably the world (Both appts scheduled)
-IPL if all else fails
Hope.
