A little background: At the age of 16 I started wearing contact lenses, was working under bright light and took a course of roactuane for acne. All this combined lead to severe symptoms of dry eye and a struggling immune system. My symptoms were/are: severe dry eye, tinnitus, cloudy head, dry mouth, dry nose, dry lips....at times severe depression!! Through self research and trial and error these are things to do which will drastically improve the condition ...
While I haven't had erosions lately (for a good week actually), today is a rather "dry" day, my vision is blurred, and the eyes feel dry. I instilled Systane Ultra ampules, but somehow they didn't last so long (a month ago I could swear by Systane!). I suspect what could lead to this: I drank very little water yesterday! Drinking water really makes it better, so today and onward I'm on a mission of drinking a glass every hour. Very simple step that really helps.
I've been waiting for this day, because it is a day I finally get some medical help in form of a procedure aimed at helping to clean my MGs, according to my diagnosis. Getting a referral for the procedure, I received a mentioning of "1 to 3 procedures" necessary to help the condition. They said in a hospital some people need only 1 procedure, and some need 2 or 3. The day started a bit scary: very early in the morning I was rudely awaken by my husband's sleep talk (he had a nightmare), and I woke up so suddenly, that I opened my eyes wide open so quick! A second after that I almost got a heart attack thinking "what if I had me a nice fat erosion right here?!" Thank God, there was none! Really happy that this incident went well, phew.
