Yes I have many patients with MGD in my practice that have benefited from the Fortifeye Dry Eye Therapy! However i always recommend good lid hygiene combined with proper supplementation. Many Doctors throughout the world are also getting great results with the Fortifeye. When comparing the two products Thera Tears nutrition versus Carlson Moisture Eyes , I would have to go with the Thera Tears. Most of the good science regarding dry eyes and overall health is dealing with omega threes fom fish oil. The thera tears has a relatively high concentration of molecullarly distilled fish oil, a high level of EPA AND DHA in three pills. Thera tears also has flax seed oil and some vitamin e. ( patients must be careful and not take high dose of vitamin e in a multi since it is already relatively high in the thera tears. The Carlson Moisture eyes has a realatively small concentration of omega threes only 180 epa and 120 dha in three pills, you would need to take nine pills to get to benfitial levels. If you took nine pills then you would get way too much beta carotene, borage oil and GLA!! The Carlson product has nothing to help prevent the inflamatory cascade of arachidonic acid that is produced thru the omega six borage oil? It doesnt look like the Carlson product is using molecullarly disitilled fish oil, ( i could not find that in their literature). so in summary I am of course biased to the Fortifeye Dry Eye Therapy since it has the benfits of concentrated fish oil and the benfits of the GLA from Borage seed oil, has the cofactors necessary to aid in maximum absorption, sesame and curcumin to block the inflammatory cascade of arrachidonic acid, vitamin a to help in goblet cell atrophy; all in two pills. I have thousands of patients taking the Fortifeye Dry Eye Therapy and positive feedback via testimonials and improved clinical outcomes. I think Thera tears is a very good option especially for people that have a problem swallowing larger pills and it is a little cheaper. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your detailed explanation.
Thank you for your detailed explanation. I read a testemonial on your site and it said they saw results in a couple of days. Is this possible?

I honestly think if the patient noticed a benefit in two days it may be psychosomatic. Power of suggestion can be very strong. Most patients will notice some improvement after three weeks however it really takes more like two to three months to get the full benefit. Many patients are not only getting relief from dry eyes but reduction in tryglycerides, healthier hair and nails, moisture retention in skin and relief from joint pain are a few common reported benefits.
