Lamisil/Eye related side effects

Hi all,
There seem to be some very knowledgable people who participate in these forums so I thought i'd throw this one out there. In addition to my MGD, my toenails have been bothering me of late. My doctor offered to prescribe Lamisil, or Terbinafine, which is an anti-fungal. Of course, having now become accutely aware of how drugs can affect DES, I told him I'd wait until I did a little research. Anyone here ever take it? Anyone hear of it exacerbating/causing DES? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Incidence of "visual disturbance" was lower with Lamisil than with placebo.

That said, antifungals are powerful, powerful drugs. Insist on a baseline liver function test and ongoing monitoring of hepatic enzymes.

That was a very thorough investigation and I appreciate it. I would add that even a slight risk of Steven Johnson's Syndrome makes me nervous as that can be sight threatening, but I'm sure the incidence is extremely low. I also agree about the liver stuff as my doc had mentioned something to the same effect. Thanks again.
