Hello all,
Im here to share the happiness and proud i am feeling for the long fight given in the court for SJS being misdiagnosed as Measles by the doctors when i was 8 years old, i.e.1990.

My SJS was on account of wrong disgnosis for dcotors as measles, and continuty of sulfa drugs worsen the SJS instead of improving had it been disgnosed properly by doctors.

Finally, i have been compensated a sum of 31500$ , after fighting the case for about 18 years(1993 to 2011).

Many pediatrics dont know what SJS is...though sjs is seen in childern more than adults.Hope this will prove to be a lesson for them.

Im very happy!!!:)

Hirentherock ~ So happy for you and your family after suffering all these years. What a strong family! What a huge success for you and a fantastic precedent for the Indian medical system.

Dry eye conditions in children are still undiagnosed even by corneal specialist ophthalmologists in the UK, in my experience, so please everyone spread the word internationally that children suffer like this and damage is preventable. Moorfields Eye Hospital research and treatment summary on damage from untreated blepharitis in children if anyone ever needs it http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1772603/?tool=pubmed

Does this also mean you've just had successful surgery and got a good IOL?

So happy for you, lot of love from Mermaid and me
